Shield Technology Partners Co-Founder Jake Sloane spoke to CRN about the company’s “local ownership, national capabilities” model and why it is attracting MSPs that want to grow without giving up their identity. Shield acquires 60 to 90 percent of an MSP’s equity while keeping owners in place, preserving local culture, and providing the economies of scale of a national platform. Rather than imposing a one-size-fits-all model, the firm works collaboratively with partners on technology, operations, and back-office support to help them scale.

Sloane shared that Shield has already partnered with four MSPs and is focused on operators who value entrepreneurship and long-term alignment over a traditional sale.
